Flying dolphin
From the port of Piraeus, there are daily Catamarans travelling to Hydra. During the day, there are a few ship routes depending on the season.
The duration of the journey is approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes with a Catamarans.

By car
(Drive from EO8, Olympia Odos / A8, Ethmos of Ancient Epidaurus / EO10, Epar.Od. Ligourio – Porto Heli … and Epar.Od. Ermionis – Galatas to Ermioni
By car you need from Athens about 2 hours & 45 ‘following the Attiki Odos and then the National Road Athens – Corinth. After the Isthmus turn left towards Epidavros (Exit Epidavros). Going to the exit you will see a sign that shows the direction for Hydra.
Drive for about 30 minutes and reach the junction for Epidaurus. Just before you will see signs to Hydra, Poros and Spetses. At the intersection you will turn obliquely to the right and just below the bridge to the left, following the sign for Hydra.
Then follow the road, leaving behind the junction for the beach of Epidaurus, taking care to see the sign to Hydra. At this point you will turn right uphill, the uphill road to Kranidi – Ermioni where you will reach the roundabout in the plain of Kranidi, after passing through the villages, Koliaki Tracheia and Fourni, following the relevant signs. At the roundabout, take the exit for Ermioni – Hydra (third exit) and continue for Ermioni. Arriving at the crossroads for Ermioni, you cross it straight and continue on the road. After 500 meters you reach the roundabout and take the 2nd exit (straight from the entrance to the junction) you reach the roundabout in Thermisia. There you turn right and after passing Porto Hydra and crossing some small settlements, you are in Metochi.
Metochi is an area opposite Hydra, where there is space and if you want guarded parking to leave your car and go across Hydra, with daily services operated by boats “FREEDOM III” and “FREEDOM IV” in in 30 minutes.
