Hydra\u2019s Trail Event<\/b> is pleased to announce that the Municipality of Hydra<\/b> will once again serve as Gold Sponsor<\/b> of the event for 2026, marking the third consecutive year of this partnership. This continued support confirms the long-standing collaboration between the Municipality and the event, as well as its commitment to initiatives that promote sport, extroversion, and the island\u2019s visibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Municipality of Hydra <\/b>actively supports initiatives that highlight the island\u2019s natural and cultural heritage, while also contributing to the development of sports and thematic tourism. Through its support of major sporting events such as Hydra\u2019s Trail Event,<\/b> Hydra is further established as a destination for outdoor activities and high-quality experiences, attracting visitors from Greece and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hydra\u2019s Trail Even<\/b>t, now recognized as one of the most important trail running events in Greece, attracts hundreds of runners each year from both Greece and international locations. The race routes traverse the island\u2019s historic paths, showcasing its unique natural landscape and offering a distinctive athletic experience that combines nature, history, and the challenge of trail running.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event carries particular competitive significance, as the Hydra\u2019s Trail Marathon <\/b>has been included among the official selection criteria for athletes aiming to qualify for the National Mountain Running Team.<\/b> Athletes\u2019 performances in the race will be taken into account for the formation of the team that will represent Greece at the European Athletics Off-Road Running Championships,<\/b> to be held in Kamnik, Slovenia<\/b>, in the wider Ljubljana <\/b>region, from June 5 to 7, 2026<\/b>. This development enhances the competitive profile of the event and strengthens its position within the national trail running calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The support of the Municipality of Hydra<\/b> as Gold Sponsor plays a decisive role in the implementation and further development of the event. t the same time, it contributes to the continuous improvement of the experience offered to both athletes and visitors, while expanding the national and international visibility of Hydra\u2019s Trail Event.
