\"\"<\/a>Sotiris Iliadis<\/strong>\u00a0was born and raised in Athens. \u00a0 He holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a master\u2019s degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University in London. \u00a0 He lives permanently in Hydra where he has been teaching English since 2002. \u00a0 He has been a 50% partner in the Hydra Language School and Hydragogy since 2006.<\/p>

Hydragogy was founded in 2006 by Angeliki Stroumbouli and Sotiris Iliadis. It is a charitable foundation for the support of\u00a0education in Hydra<\/strong>. Hydragogy collects donations from individuals or institutions with a special interest in Hydra and uses the funds on initiatives that benefit the children who grow up on the island.<\/p>

The idea was born out of our collaboration at\u00a0The Hydra Language School<\/a>, where we still work daily with most of Hydra\u2019s schoolchildren. We realized that we are not only in a unique position to understand the needs of education in Hydra but also willing and able to accommodate those needs responsibly, consistently and cost effectively. We believe that the importance of education, especially in remote areas, is obvious and any investment in it safe.
